Refund policy

All of our clothes are one-of-a-kind, upcycled items made from vintage kimono fabrics. Due to the nature of our production process, as well as our efforts to reduce the environmental impact associated with international shipping, returns are not accepted except in certain countries or regions. Refunds may be issued only under specific conditions. Please carefully review the product description, photographs, and sizing details before making a purchase. Damages and issues
Our items are crafted from authentic vintage silk kimonos. Please understand that minor imperfections and a faint vintage scent are inherent to upcycled materials. In the event of significant, undisclosed damage, please reach out to us upon reception.

Exchanges
Since our items are unique, one-of-a-kind creations, we do not offer exchanges. Each piece is irreplaceable. We recommend carefully reviewing the product details and photos before purchasing.

European Union 14 day cooling off period 　　　　　　　　　　　　　Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. Please be advised that the customer is responsible for all costs associated with returning the item to Japan.  As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Refunds
To start a return, you must first contact us at official@tomijapan.com with clear photos of the damaged area. We will review the information to determine if the item is eligible for a return and refund. If your return is provisionally accepted, we will provide instructions on how to send your package. Please note that the customer is responsible for all return shipping costs. Items sent back without prior approval will not be accepted.
